Pull up a log, have a seat by the campfire, we’re going to tell you a story!
The Bonfield-Dickson is a story of adventure, challenges, the beauty of the wilderness and the laughter and bonds formed between a bunch of kids coming of age on a canoe trip in the beautiful setting that is, Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada.
Our lead character, 16 year old Thomas Porter, has gotten himself in trouble with the law and to avoid a stint in the juvenile system has agreed to attend a summer camp where he must meet certain “challenges” set down by the judge and Camp Head Counselor, Peter Stone. Never having been out on a “real” camping trip (back yard doesn’t count), he has to learn new skills and form new friendships that don’t come naturally to a “street” kid.
Will he step up and take on the work to overcome or will the demons holding him back keep their grip, stopping him in his tracks. His new buddies, Stats, Tundas, Quinn, Georgie Boy, Sky, and Peanut, among others, show Thomas a new world, a world he wasn’t expecting to find. But, to become a part of this world he has to take a step in a new direction, and cross The Bonfield-Dickson.
